Hi y’all, I’m Shannon Bowers-Smith. I’m an author weaving tales of fact and fiction hither and yonder.
Mrs. Leadbetter was my 11th grade English teacher. She intuitively knew how to bring out the best in her students — especially me. I have been an imagination junky my entire life. Daydreaming and make-believe were much-loved childhood joys. However, Mrs. Leadbetter was the first person to channel that imagination into writing. What she gave to me, I later passed on to my English students — encouraging them to make stories out of words that seemed to have no connection. I have always written, but only for myself. The time has come to change that. What good is joy, if it is hidden away? I hope you enjoy the reading as much as I enjoyed the writing.
love and Blessings,
Shannon
